Karma Strikes Hard? Nigerian Man Contracts HIV After Mother Forced Him to Divorce His Wife — Now Family Begs Her to Stay

A Nigerian woman has set social media on fire after sharing a heartbreaking and controversial story involving her marriage, her mother-in-law, and a shocking medical revelation.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the woman revealed how her mother-in-law allegedly pressured her husband into divorcing her, despite years of marriage and children together — a decision that has now taken a devastating turn.

“She Never Wanted Me From Day One”

According to the woman, her problems began long before the divorce.

She explained that her mother-in-law never approved of their union and consistently worked behind the scenes to destroy the marriage.

“My mother-in-law pushed my husband to divorce me just because she never wanted her son to marry me in the first place,” she wrote.

Eventually, the pressure reportedly worked, and the marriage collapsed.

After the Divorce, Everything Changed

Following the separation, the woman said her ex-husband began living recklessly, engaging in multiple affairs while she focused solely on raising their children and protecting her own health.

“Me, I only focused on taking care of myself and our kids. Now my husband has started chasing anything inside skirt,” she stated.

Shocking Hospital Result

The story took a dramatic turn when the man reportedly fell ill and was rushed to the hospital.

Tests were conducted — and the result stunned everyone.

The test they did is out, and he is HIV POSITIVE,” she revealed.

Now They Want Her Back

In a twist many online described as ironic, the same family that allegedly pushed her out is now begging her to return.

According to the woman, her ex-husband’s mother is now pleading with her to stay and support him through his illness.

But her response was firm:

“Now I am leaving him. His mother wants me to stay. Please advise me.”

Social Media Explodes

The post triggered massive reactions online, with users fiercely debating the situation.

  • Some praised the woman for prioritizing her health and children
  • Others called the situation “instant karma”
  • Many warned her never to risk her life by returning

One user wrote, “You escaped what could have destroyed your life. Don’t look back.”

Another added, “The same mouth that chased you away is now begging — life has no balance.”

The Big Question

Should she stay and help — or protect herself and her children?

As the story continues to circulate, one thing is clear: this emotional saga has struck a nerve, reopening conversations about toxic family interference, marriage, health, and self-preservation.
