Afrobeats superstar Davido has once again captured attention on social media after gifting a loyal fan ₦15 million following a viral exchange on X.
The gesture came on Saturday, June 20, after a fan identified as Abazz, known on X as @abazwhylle, defended his long-standing support for the singer during an online discussion.
The conversation began when Abazz celebrated Davido for recently gifting a car to another devoted fan.
However, an internet user attempted to mock him, pointing out that he had been supporting the singer for a much longer period than the fan who received the vehicle.
The troll sarcastically suggested that Davido should also “bless” Abazz for his loyalty.
Responding to the comment, Abazz insisted that his admiration for the award-winning singer was never driven by financial gain or expectations of gifts.
According to him, his support for Davido went beyond money and material benefits.
His response quickly gained attention online and eventually caught Davido’s eye.
In a surprising move, the singer replied directly to the fan and offered him a cash gift of ₦15 million.
The exchange immediately went viral, with many social media users praising Davido for rewarding loyalty and showing appreciation to his supporters.
The latest gesture adds to a long list of occasions where the singer has publicly gifted money, cars and other valuables to fans, friends and associates.
Fans flooded social media with reactions, describing the move as another example of Davido’s generosity and strong connection with his fan base.
The story has since become one of the most talked-about entertainment moments online, with many users celebrating the fan’s unexpected windfall and the singer’s willingness to give back to those who support him.
