Argentina captain Lionel Messi has moved to the top of the dribbling rankings at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after an outstanding display in his country’s semi-final victory over England.
The 39-year-old football icon recorded nine successful dribbles during Argentina’s 2-1 comeback win on Wednesday, July 15, helping his side secure a place in the World Cup final.
With that performance, Messi increased his tournament total to 24 successful dribbles, overtaking Spain’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who had previously led the standings with 22.
