Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has claimed that singer Davido privately cautioned him against making insulting remarks about Wizkid.
Carter Efe made the disclosure during a recent livestream while discussing his interactions with Davido and the reactions to his repeated comments about Wizkid.
According to the content creator, Davido contacted him directly after people began assuming that the singer was behind or encouraging his remarks about Wizkid.
Carter Efe said Davido made it clear that he was not involved in the comments and did not want his name connected to them.
“Davido messaged me and told me that I shouldn’t try it in my life again to insult Wizkid again, because people have started thinking he is the one sending me, meanwhile he doesn’t know anything about it,” he said.
Carter Efe expressed admiration for what he described as Davido’s decision to distance himself from the situation rather than encourage the controversy.
The revelation comes against the backdrop of the long-running public rivalry between Davido and Wizkid, two of Nigeria’s most prominent Afrobeats stars. Their exchanges and those involving their respective fan bases have repeatedly generated discussions across social media.
Carter Efe has previously made remarks about Wizkid that attracted significant attention online, while his relationship with both singers has remained a subject of interest among their fans.
