Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has publicly called out reality TV star Phyna over what she described as the former BBNaija winner’s frequent confrontations and arguments on social media.
Nkechi addressed Phyna in a video shared on Instagram on Thursday, September 17, 2026, saying she normally avoids involving herself in trending controversies but felt compelled to speak after observing what she described as the reality star’s repeated online clashes.
The actress questioned why Phyna appeared to be constantly involved in disputes with other people and urged her to exercise more restraint in her dealings on social media.
“Phyna, relax. Must you fight with everybody? I know say you go come for me, but number one, I am not your mate. So before you set your camera and try to insult me, just know say I am 37. I senior you well. You need to calm down. You are doing too much.”
Nkechi also questioned whether Phyna had people around her who could correct her when necessary, telling the reality star to listen to advice instead of interpreting every criticism as an attempt to bully her.
The actress further referred to her own previous experiences with social media controversies, saying she had also been involved in online drama in the past but eventually stepped away from it and found greater peace.
According to Nkechi, Phyna should similarly consider taking a break from the constant online confrontations and be more selective about the issues she responds to.
“If you don’t have anyone to tell you the truth, I Nkechi Blessing, I will tell you. Try dey respect yourself.”
Nkechi also said she expected Phyna to respond to her comments but maintained that the two women were not age mates, stressing her seniority during the video.
However, Phyna has since responded, contrary to earlier reports that she was yet to react. The reality TV star questioned why Nkechi Blessing had chosen to publicly address her, saying she was trying to understand what connected them.
Phyna also referred to Nkechi as “grandma” and questioned whether the actress was attempting to gain attention from the situation.
According to reports, Phyna explained that she and Nkechi were not friends and had only previously interacted over a possible film job. She claimed Nkechi had contacted her about two months earlier to request her rate card, but by the time Phyna responded, the actress had already told her that someone else had been cast because she did not want to delay the production. Phyna said she could share their chat to support her account.
The exchange has since generated reactions across social media, with users weighing in on both women’s comments and debating whether the disagreement could escalate further.
For now, the public exchange has turned what began as Nkechi Blessing’s criticism of Phyna’s online conduct into a direct back-and-forth between the actress and the reality TV star.
