Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos has granted Nollywood actress Doris Ogala bail in the sum of ₦30 million over allegations of cyberstalking and other offences involving Pastor Chris Okafor.
The judge delivered the ruling on Thursday, November 6, 2026, directing Ogala to provide two sureties who must each enter into a bail bond of ₦30 million.
Under the bail conditions, one of the sureties must either own a property in Lagos State and provide verifiable evidence of its registration at the Land Registry, duly certified by the Registrar of Deeds, or be a prominent national officer of a political party or a person of established reputation.
The court further directed that both sureties must be financially reliable, reside within its jurisdiction and undergo verification by the court registrar. They are also required to submit their tax clearance certificates covering the last three years, alongside two recent passport photographs each.
As part of the conditions, Ogala must surrender her international passport to the court registrar. The judge also prohibited her from making electronic publications capable of intimidating or harassing any of the prosecution witnesses in the case.
During the proceedings, Justice Aluko expressed concern over the actress’s conduct during the October 28, 2026 sitting, stating that her actions disrupted the court’s proceedings. However, the judge acknowledged that Ogala had apologised for her behaviour.
The court subsequently ordered that the actress be released from custody immediately after fulfilling all the bail requirements.
Earlier, when the case was called on Thursday, Ogala was absent from court. Her lawyer informed the judge that she was receiving medical treatment at the General Hospital in Ajegunle, Lagos, following a gynaecological surgery that reportedly resulted in bleeding.
The development comes amid the ongoing legal dispute between Doris Ogala and Pastor Chris Okafor, with the actress facing allegations bordering on cyberstalking and other offences.
