Actress Sarah Martins Opens Up on Fallout With King Mitchy, Calls for Forgiveness Amid Ongoing Controversy

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has shared her personal experience with embattled social media influencer and philanthropist King Mitchy, amid the ongoing online drama involving activist VeryDarkMan.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Sarah Martins recounted how her relationship with King Mitchy allegedly changed after Seyi Tinubu and his associates provided financial support to her NGO during the controversial KAI incident.

“She Blocked Me Everywhere”

According to Sarah, King Mitchy had followed her on Instagram weeks before the incident and publicly applauded her charitable efforts. She said she was therefore shocked when Mitchy blocked her across all platforms after Seyi Tinubu and his friends donated ₦20 million to help her relocate and continue cooking for the less privileged following an incident where her hands were injured.

Sarah explained that she initially brushed off the action and chose not to hold grudges.

The actress further claimed that she later ran into King Mitchy at Toyin Abraham’s movie premiere, where Mitchy looked her up and down before walking away without a response.

“I felt extremely embarrassed, but I still made excuses for her behaviour so I wouldn’t hate her back,” Sarah wrote.

Despite the alleged mistreatment, Sarah Martins appealed to Nigerians to forgive King Mitchy, stressing that depression can be deeply destructive.

“She’s mentally and emotionally unstable at the moment, and these are signs of depression,” she said, urging the public — including VeryDarkMan and other influencers — to “cease fire.”

“To err is human, to forgive is divine. Person no dey bad finish,” she added.

During the controversy, Mitchy shared screenshots of messages from the Ooni of Ife praising her work, a move that sparked further backlash.

Amid intense online bullying, King Mitchy was later seen drinking a substance believed to be Hypo during a livestream. Her management subsequently announced her alleged death, a claim that was later denied by Primecare Hospital, which stated she was never admitted or treated at the facility and had not died there.

Following the spread of rumours, Seyi Tinubu released a statement denying allegations of any improper relationship with Mitchy, stating that his involvement was limited to public financial support for her NGO and condemning online harassment and misinformation.
