Prominent televangelist and prosperity gospel preacher Benny Hinn has publicly acknowledged that some prophetic messages he shared over the years were inaccurate, admitting that they did not come from God as he had believed at the time.
Speaking during a recent reflection on his decades-long ministry, Hinn said he has made mistakes and regrets occasions when he delivered prophecies that later proved to be incorrect. He noted that, like any other person, he is not without faults and felt it was important to address those moments openly.
According to Hinn, there were instances when he sincerely believed God had revealed something to him, only to later realize that was not the case.
“I’m a human being. I make mistakes. The thing I regret most is there were some prophecies I gave that were not accurate or from the Lord,” he said.
He continued by explaining that not every prophetic declaration he made was based on genuine divine revelation.
“There were times I thought God had shown me something, and He wasn’t showing me. I spoke it out, and I can’t go back to change it, but I ask people to forgive me. I’m not perfect.”
Hinn, who is widely known around the world for his healing crusades and teachings on prosperity, said he accepts responsibility for those errors and expressed remorse over the impact they may have had.
His comments have since sparked widespread discussion across Christian communities and social media platforms.
