Streamer Davrel Recounts Surviving Alleged Abuja Robbery As Bodyguard Is Reportedly Shot

Popular Nigerian streamer Davrel has recounted surviving an alleged armed robbery attack in Abuja, claiming members of his team were shot while a vehicle was stolen during the incident.

The content creator shared the account on social media, alleging that he escaped unharmed while others in his group sustained gunshot injuries during the attack.

According to Davrel, the group was travelling together when armed men allegedly attacked them, leaving his bodyguard bleeding from gunshot wounds.

He said he fled the scene for safety, abandoning his phones and streaming equipment as he ran.

“Tweeting this from my mumsi Samsung. Abuja is not a safe place. My friend’s 2025 Prado just got stolen, my hands are shaking typing this lol. My bodyguard got shot, as in he was leaking blood. I ran for my life. I left my phones. Left all my streaming gear. I ran for my life! Thank you Master Jesus for sparing me,” he wrote.

In a subsequent post, Davrel reflected on the incident, expressing gratitude that he survived.

“In a car of four people, two people got shot at, one person had a gun pointed at him, me I just see everything, hear everything, nothing do me. I said I serve a living God. My life is a testimony of God,” he wrote.

He later shared a photograph from a hospital with the caption, “God take charge.”

The posts quickly attracted widespread reactions on social media, with many users expressing relief that Davrel survived the alleged attack while praying for the recovery of those reportedly injured.

Others also renewed calls for improved security in Abuja, citing the incident as another example of growing safety concerns in the Federal Capital Territory.
