Elon Musk Predicts AI Could Make Money Less Important By 2036

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has sparked fresh debate about the future of the global economy after predicting that money could become far less important by 2036 if artificial intelligence and robotics continue advancing at their current pace.

According to Musk, rapid developments in AI and automation could create a future where robots produce more goods and services than people could ever consume, significantly reducing the traditional role of money in everyday life.

Speaking about the long-term impact of artificial intelligence, Musk suggested that technological progress could eventually eliminate many of the economic limitations that currently exist.

“Money won’t matter in 2036 if robots and AI provide more goods and services than any human could possibly consume,” he said.

The Tesla and SpaceX chief has previously argued that AI has the potential to dramatically increase productivity, making products and services cheaper and more widely available while transforming industries around the world.

His latest remarks have generated mixed reactions online. While some people agreed that advances in AI and robotics could eventually reshape the global economic system, others questioned whether money could ever lose its importance entirely, pointing to issues such as resource ownership, distribution and economic inequality.

Musk’s comments reflect his personal prediction about the future and are based on his expectations of how artificial intelligence and automation could evolve over the next decade.
