A Bayelsa man, Oruebi Raymond Oyinmiebi, has performed a traditional ceremony to marry Bini-Ebi, a revered Ijaw spiritual deity known as the Queen of Wealth and Mother of Love.
Oyinmiebi carried out the traditional ceremony at a river on Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Taking to Facebook, he shared photos from the ceremony, saying his forefathers and generations drank from the same river.
According to Oyinmiebi, he presented traditional offerings and prayed for blessings, protection, good health, long life, prosperity and peace in his home.
Meanwhile, friends and well-wishers are posting congratulatory messages for him and his ‘wife’
“Today, I returned to the river my forefathers and generations before them drank from, as I acknowledged my Biniere and accepted her as my dear and lovely wife, Biniebi, and all the good Gods of our land,”Oyinmiebi wrote.
“As I presented my offerings with a sincere heart, I opened the doors of blessings, favour, good health, long life, prosperity, and abundance upon my life.
“The evil of everyone will remain with them alone. May the evil others plan against me return to them, while I continue to shine, prosper, and walk in peace—for I wish no one evil.
“May the Gods of our land guide my steps, protect me, bless me, and enrich all that concerns me.
“May my path be blessed, my home be peaceful, and my future be prosperous. So I pray. AMEN.”
