BBNaija Season 11 housemate Barry has become the first contestant to secure a place in the finale after winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge.
Barry emerged victorious after defeating Keivo in the final stage of the challenge, earning him the Head of House title and automatic qualification for the final stage of the reality show.
The victory also handed Barry additional powers that could influence the eviction process as the housemates enter the closing weeks of the competition.
As part of his privileges, Barry selected Keivo as his Loft Mate, giving the pair access to the Head of House lounge and its associated benefits.
Barry was later given an opportunity to use his veto power after the housemates made their pitches explaining why they deserved to remain in the competition ahead of the next eviction.
After listening to the pitches, Barry chose to use his veto to save Aikou from possible eviction.
The decision means Aikou remains in the competition, while Barry is already assured of a place in the BBNaija Season 11 finale.
Barry’s Week 8 victory therefore gives him several advantages, including automatic qualification for the finale, the Head of House title, the right to choose a Loft Mate and veto power that can affect the eviction process.
With Barry already through to the finale, the remaining housemates will now compete for the limited places still available as the reality show moves closer to its final stage.
