The father of late actress and influencer Nimmy Ferrari has spoken out following allegations by her mother over the circumstances surrounding her burial and the future of the house where she was laid to rest in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Nimmy’s mother had reportedly raised concerns that her daughter’s body could be exhumed from the property and that the house might subsequently be sold. The allegations have triggered a dispute between the actress’ parents following her death and burial.
Responding to the claims, Nimmy’s father denied any suggestion that he could have harmed his daughter and explained that she informed him about her medical condition only after she had already been admitted to hospital for fibroid surgery.
“I can’t kill my child. She called me that she was already at the hospital for fibroid surgery. I asked why she didn’t tell me earlier. I know people who treat it with herbs.”
The grieving father said Nimmy told him that her scan had already been paid for and that the proposed surgery would cost about ₦3.6 million.
According to him, he recommended a doctor he knew in Abeokuta, apparently as an alternative to the treatment she was already receiving.
He also provided his account of the ownership and construction of Nimmy’s newly completed house, which became the location of her burial.
The father said Nimmy had previously told him that she wanted to build a house of her own. He subsequently informed family elders about her plans, after which, according to his account, they agreed to allocate part of the family land to her.
He further claimed that Nimmy specifically asked him to keep the construction of the property away from her mother.
“While I was building the house for her, she begged me not to let her mother know about it. The first land she bought was through her mother. Her mother later sold the land.”
His comments come amid an increasingly public disagreement between Nimmy’s parents over her burial and the property where she was laid to rest.
Nimmy reportedly died after complications linked to fibroid surgery, although details surrounding her death have remained the subject of public discussion.
The disagreement between her parents has now shifted attention to both the circumstances of her death and the ownership of the house she had reportedly completed shortly before her passing.
The claims made by both parents remain allegations from the respective parties, and an independent determination of the disputed property and burial issues has not been established.
