Poco Lee’s Management Acknowledges Zlatan’s Support, Urges Restraint Over UK Court Case

The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has appealed for restraint in the spread of what it described as negative narratives surrounding his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Poco Lee’s manager, Faleye “Dee-Y” Adedoyin, the entertainer’s team also publicly acknowledged the support it said it had received from Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and others during the legal proceedings.

Adedoyin said Zlatan and other individuals had been “extremely supportive and helpful” throughout the matter, describing their involvement and efforts as important to moving things forward.

“We would like to publicly acknowledge that Zlatan, along with others, has been extremely supportive and helpful through this matter,” the statement read.

“Their involvement, support, and effort have been vital to moving things forward.”

The management expressed appreciation for the continued support and asked members of the public to avoid spreading information that could create further negative narratives around the case.

“We deeply value their ongoing support and dedication and we kindly request that everyone refrain from spreading negative narratives.”

The statement was signed “Poco’s Management.”

The intervention followed recent claims and discussions surrounding Poco Lee’s trip to the UK and the circumstances surrounding his ongoing court proceedings.

Social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, had questioned reports concerning the purpose of Poco Lee’s trip to the UK.

In an Instagram post, VeryDarkMan claimed that the dancer had travelled to Britain for a Zlatan show rather than a Davido concert, and questioned why people were defending Poco Lee while the legal proceedings remained active.

“In between Poco Lee didn’t travel to the UK for a Davido show, it was for a Zlatan show,” VeryDarkMan claimed.

He also said Poco Lee should be allowed to face the court process, describing a court case as stressful and expressing hope that the matter would eventually be resolved.

VeryDarkMan’s claims about the purpose of Poco Lee’s trip have not been independently established.

Poco Lee’s legal case in the UK remains ongoing. He was granted bail on September 11, 2026, ahead of a scheduled appearance at Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15.

The September 15 plea and trial preparation hearing was subsequently adjourned to February 8, 2027, with reports stating that the charge sheet was unavailable and Poco Lee did not appear in court. His trial has been scheduled to begin on March 8, 2027.

Poco Lee is facing five sexual-offence charges in the UK, comprising one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.

He has denied the allegations and has not been convicted of any offence.

The entertainer’s management has previously urged the public and media to exercise caution over discussions surrounding the case, stressing the distinction between allegations and established facts.

As the proceedings continue, Poco Lee’s team is again asking the public to avoid unverified claims and negative narratives while the UK court process runs its course.
