Veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere and Adewale Ayuba, and Nollywood stars including Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Akintola have been named members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
The names were contained in the full list of the campaign council released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centreon Thursday ahead of the council’s inauguration on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
According to the list, Toke Benson-Awoyinka will serve as Director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, while Jide Kosoko is listed as Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director.
Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, will serve as Secretary, while Dare Olateju is listed as Assistant Secretary.
The directorate features several prominent figures from the Yoruba film industry, including veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, alongside Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadriand Tayo Sobola.
The Fuji music industry also has several representatives on the list.
They include Pasuma, Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa) and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor).
Other entertainment and creative industry figures were also included in the directorate as the Lagos APC prepares to commence its campaign council activities.
The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several directorates under the broader Lagos State APC Campaign Council.
The council lists Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Chairman and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Chairman.
The inclusion of actors, musicians and other creative industry figures reflects the APC’s effort to involve prominent members of Lagos’ entertainment sector in its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
The council is expected to be formally inaugurated on September 18 at the party’s state secretariat in Ikeja.
