France became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Morocco 2-0 on Thursday.
After a goalless first half, Kylian Mbappe broke the deadlock for Les Bleus in the second half before Ousmane Dembele doubled their advantage with his fifth goal of the tournament.
The victory ends Morocco’s impressive World Cup run and sends Didier Deschamps’ side into a third consecutive World Cup semi-final.
France will now face the winner of Friday’s quarter-final clash between Spain and Belgium for a place in the final.
