Man Regrets Loyalty Test After Girlfriend Marries His Best Friend and Welcomes Third Child

A Nigerian man has gone viral after sharing how a loyalty test he set up years ago ended in heartbreak — and how the consequences still haunt him today.

How It All Started

The man, identified as @UsmanZannaah on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that back in 2019, he decided to test his girlfriend’s faithfulness by asking his best friend, Aliyu, to approach her and try to win her over.

Unfortunately for him, the “test” took an unexpected turn — the two actually fell in love.

“Today marks exactly two years since I sent my best friend Aliyu to go and try to date my girlfriend to test and confirm if she can accept any other man over me. They are now married with one child,” he wrote in the viral 2019 post.

What started as a harmless loyalty experiment soon turned into a real relationship that led to marriage and children.

Painful Update Years Later

Fast forward to October 2025, Usman revisited the old tweet to share an update that stunned many Nigerians.

Quoting his initial post, he revealed that the couple — his ex-girlfriend and his former best friend — are still together and have now welcomed their third child.

“3 kids now and counting,” he wrote, adding a hint of heartbreak to the confession.

Social Media Reactions

The revelation quickly went viral again, sparking a flood of reactions from netizens.

While some sympathized with him, others joked that he had “played himself” by testing true love.
Many users advised people never to test their partners’ loyalty, saying such experiments often end in tears.
