Naira To Dollar Exchange Rate Today, Thursday, June 11, 2026

The Nigerian naira maintained a relatively stable performance against the United States dollar on Thursday, June 11, 2026, as improved liquidity in the official foreign exchange market helped keep exchange rates within a narrow range.

According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the naira traded between ₦1,360 and ₦1,366 per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), which serves as the country’s benchmark official exchange platform.

Market activity remained largely calm, with traders responding to changing dollar demand and the level of foreign exchange available across various windows.

The latest figures suggest that the local currency has continued to experience reduced volatility compared to previous periods when sharp fluctuations dominated the market.

Financial analysts attributed the relative stability to stronger dollar inflows into the official market and ongoing policy measures aimed at easing pressure on the naira.

In recent weeks, the exchange rate has largely remained within the ₦1,350 to ₦1,370 range, a trend many observers say reflects growing confidence in the official market.

Despite the improved conditions in the official segment, demand remained active in the parallel market, where importers, travellers and businesses seeking foreign currency continued to source dollars outside the banking system.

Traders in the black market quoted the dollar at approximately ₦1,395 to ₦1,405 for sales, while buying rates averaged around ₦1,385, depending on location and transaction volume.

The narrowing gap between the official and parallel market rates has been viewed as a positive sign by economists, suggesting gradual convergence in pricing across both segments.

At a glance, Thursday’s exchange rates stood as follows:

  • Official NFEM rate: ₦1,360 to ₦1,366 per dollar
  • Parallel market buying rate: Around ₦1,385 per dollar
  • Parallel market selling rate: ₦1,395 to ₦1,405 per dollar

Analysts, however, cautioned that exchange rates remain sensitive to factors such as foreign exchange supply, importer demand, global economic developments and investor sentiment.

They also noted that rates may vary slightly across commercial banks and Bureau De Change operators depending on prevailing liquidity conditions and the size of transactions.
