Elizabeth Olayemi, the widow of late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has made an emotional appeal to her deceased husband, asking him not to forget her and their children.
Elizabeth became emotional during her husband’s tribute night and service of songs held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The gathering attracted several artistes and other attendees who came together to honour the late gospel musician and pay their respects to his family.
Speaking at the event, Elizabeth struggled to hold back her tears as she reflected on the loss of her husband and the life they shared.
“Toluwanisings, my dear husband, I will forever miss you. Please don’t forget your children and me,” she said.
Her words captured the pain of losing her partner as she addressed him during the tribute, asking him to remember the family he had left behind.
The emotional moment comes amid reports of a disagreement between Elizabeth and her late husband’s relatives over where he should be buried.
According to reports circulating online, Elizabeth reportedly opposed plans to bury the singer at the family home in Ibadan and favoured a cemetery burial instead.
Toluwanisings’ burial arrangements have also attracted attention following calls from members of his family for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The family has previously expressed its desire to establish the cause of his death before proceeding with burial plans.
However, the details of the reported disagreement over the burial location have not been independently confirmed by all parties involved.
