The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 has officially premiered, with organisers unveiling this year’s theme, “Show Ya Self,” and announcing a ₦160 million grand prize for the eventual winner.
Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu made the announcement during the live premiere, revealing that the winner will receive ₦100 million in cash alongside a brand-new SUV valued at ₦60 million, making it one of the biggest prize packages in the show’s history.
The premiere opened with a high-energy performance by Afrobeats star Falz, setting the tone for the new season before viewers were given an exclusive tour of the redesigned Big Brother house.
Among the areas showcased were the Diary Room, living room, Head of House lounge, and the housemates’ bedrooms, drawing excitement from fans watching the live launch.
Ebuka also outlined some of Biggie’s plans for the season as the reality show officially returned to television screens.
Organisers confirmed that Betpaw Nigeria will serve as the headline sponsor for Season 11, while Guinness Nigeria joins as the Gold Sponsor and Minimie Nigeria as the Associate Sponsor.
Ahead of the premiere, the show’s organisers built anticipation by releasing teaser videos featuring silhouettes and body shots of the new contestants while keeping their identities hidden until the live unveiling.
The first set of housemates introduced at the premiere includes contestants from diverse professional backgrounds, including a chef, model, and entrepreneur, with more participants expected to be unveiled as the launch continues.
BBNaija remains one of Africa’s biggest reality television shows, attracting millions of viewers across the continent each season as contestants compete for the grand prize while navigating weekly tasks, nominations and evictions.
